  1. Solving Systems of Inequalities: 3 - 4 • You will simply be graphing two inequalities on the same graph. • The solution will be a section of the graph, not a point.

  2. Solving Systems of Inequalities • PWS 3-4 (on ibooks) • Graph the inequalities y + 1 < -x and y ≥ 1. • The solution is the section of overlap.

  3. Solving Systems of Inequalities • To graph a system of inequalities using the calculator, just plug in the two inequalities and graph. Make sure you use the correct inequality for each one. (Type, F6, F1-F4)

  4. Solving Systems of Inequalities • From your two inequalities, you should get a region of the graph that is double shaded. (you may want to use different colors or means of shading for each inequality)

  5. Solving Systems of Inequalities • This region is your solution. • What does this mean? • Any point in this double-shaded region would solve BOTH equations!!!
