REGIONAL OFFICES 3 REGIONAL OFFICES: MMABATHO KLERKSDORP RUSTENBURG MMABATHO : BOPHIRIMA AND CENTRAL 1 regional and 7 district offices 7 Port Of Entries (3 Commercial) MPCC: Victor Tong in Morokweng 17 service points RUSTENBURG: BOJANALA PLATINUM 1regional and 6 district offices 2 port of entries (international airport) MPCC: Lebotlwane village 8 service points

  4. KLERKSDORP : SOUTHERN REGION 1 regional office and 4 district offices MPCC: Tshedimosetso in Ventersdorp 6 service points Busiest offices: Mabopane, Rustenburg, Klerksdorp, Moretele and Potchefstroom

  5. INFRASTRUCTURE • 8 Leased offices • 11 State owned offices • UPGRADED OFFICES IN 2004 • Pampierstad • Lehurutshe • Molopo • Rustenburg Regional Office moved to new premises

  6. CHALLENGES • human resources • IT skills low • logistics (transport),old computers • centralization of most functions • skills levels (low) • access to services (citizens travel) • marketing of products (public educ.) • infrastructure (border posts) • leadership (supervision in offices)

ACHIEVEMENTS • Computerisation of 4 hospitals (on-line birth) • Reduction of IDs by half • 4 offices renovated (pampierstadt, Luhurutshe,Molopo and Mmabatho • Stakeholder relations (MOU with Social Dev) • 70% offices painted in corporate colours • Opening of 2 additional service points (Lekwa-taemane and Tigane) • Reward and Recognition ceremony (4th Dec 2004) • Relocation of Rustenburg office to new premises • On-going training • Advertiement of Provincial office posts • Women Empowerment Initiative (Donation to destitute family) • Survey by intern (service delivery in DHA)

  8. RAMP PROJECTS 2004 / 2005 • Pampierstadt • Mankwe • Atamelang • Molopo • 11 offices painted in Dept. corporate colours and the others are • in the process of being painted.

  15. REQUIRED BUDGET CURRENT BUDGET FOR 2004/ 2005 = R54,525,000 (as against R61,311,000 requested) ESTIMATED BUDGET FOR 2005/ 2006 = R67,306,000 The increase is due to new posts to be filled, replacement of Old equipment

  16. COMMUNITY RELATIONS • Work in close collaboration with local municipalities. • The NGOs (HIV/AIDS structures), church leaders • Volunteer organizations (pension paypoints) • Traditional authorities • Exploring the utilization of Community Development Workers
