  3. EHR Functional Model :: Defined Functions are the prime elements of the EHR Standard. There are three “groupings” of functions. Care Settings define the environment of care in which the functions are applied within the EHR. (Country Specific) Priorities represent the requirements for each function to be applied, in time, for the EHR based on care setting and realm.

  4. EHR Model Elements :: Functions Functional Groups Direct Care: EHR-S functions used for providing direct health care to, or direct self-care for, one or more persons. Supportive: EHR-S functions that most frequently use existing EHR data to support the management of health care services and organizations Information Infrastructure: Critical backbone elements of Security, Privacy, Interoperability, Registry, and Vocabulary.
