  1. What is History? A look into who, what and when history is, was or will be.

  2. What is history? • History – significant events of the past Activity – List 3 people, 3 places and 3 events that you think of when you think of History

  3. Why study history? • “Those who do not study history are doomed to repeat it.” - Unknown

  4. Activity Pair up and come up with a list of 5 people, 5 events and 5 inventions/advancements that have happened in your lifetime that you think will “make history”.

  5. Who or What will “make history”? • Intro to an essay • 1 paragraph, 5 to 7 sentences • Who is the person, what did they do, why will they be remembered –or- What is the event, who was involved and why will it be remembered • Proper English conventions (Formal) • Create a Compare and Contrast Diagram comparing your person or event to the Civil War or Abraham Lincoln.

Name at least 3 items, why do you think they have changed? • Inflation – rise in prices
