  7. Most people have enough food

  8. Most people have enough water

  9. Machines do most of the work

  10. Most people live in towns or cities

  11. People use goods made in factories and most people work in offices and factories

  12. Businesses use advanced technologyto produce goods and services

  13. DEVELOPING NATION Major Criteria: Fewer industries and simple technology

  14. Low wealth

  15. Many subsistence farmers-farmers who grow crops for their own needs and use

  16. Farms have little or no machinery

  17. People and animals do most of the work

  18. People do not have access to food all of the time

  19. Many people do not have access to good water

  20. Poor education systems

  21. Poor healthcare

  22. Unstable governments
