  2. Grading Procedures • Grades are based on a total points system. • The Broward County grading scale will be used. • This year, there will be participation points added to your grade.

  3. Assessment and Evaluation • Participation will serve as a weekly cumulative grade for all students on task.

  4. A Guide to Participation Points • Each student starts the day with 20 points. • Instances of not following directions, being off task, misbehaving, etc. will result in deductions as follows…

  5. OT -5 • Off Task • Not following directions • Not listening • Talking out of turn • Etc.

  6. -5 G • Chewing gum. Throw it out before you enter this room. Otherwise it’s five points.

  7. -5 HP • Horseplay • Meaning: running around the room • Playing around with a buddy • Throwing objects across room • etc

  8. -5 NP • Not participating in a daily assignments • Completing homework from other classes

  9. -5 T • Unexcused Tardy • Walking in late without a pass

  10. -5 RBD • Rude behavior • Disruptive behavior • Disrespectful behavior

  11. -5 UP • Unprepared • Forgot materials • Etc.

  12. Libby’s Class rules • 1) In seat when the bell rings. • 2) Be prepared • 3) Focus: Be here, now • 4) Respect: yourself, me, each other, and all visitors to our classroom

  13. Libby’s Class Rules • 5) HBO: Please keep your hands, bodies and objects to yourself
