  2. Definition of Jim Crow • My name is Jim Crow is often used describe the segregation laws, rules, and customs which arose after Reconstruction ended 1877 and continued until the mid-1960’s. How did the name become associated with these “ Black Codes” which took away many of the rights which had been granted to Blacks through the 13th,14th, and 15th Amendments?
