Rockville Villages Advisory Committee • Formed July 2014 to advise city and neighborhoods on villages • First meeting convened by Community Ministries of Rockville (CMR) September 2014 • Attendees included a wide array of individuals and groups • Chaired by CMR Board member. Outreach and information support by CMR’s Elderly Ministries Program. Programming guided by Pazit Aviv • Meetings open to anyone interested inaging-in-place and/or forming a village in Rockville as well as any organization working with seniors Ann Seltz, Chair, Rockville Villages Advisory Committee

Properly crafted mission statements: • Serve as filters to separate what is important from what is not • Clearly state which markets will be served and how • Communicate a sense of intended direction to the entire organization • Keep group focused and on track.
