Dharmavaram Villages

As per Census 2011, there are 13 villages and 1 town in Dharmavaram mandal. The total population is 1,21,874(1.22L) of which 62,250 are males and 59,624 are females respectively. Dharmavaram village names are Buddareddi palle, Chigicherla, Darsimala, Elukuntla, Gotlur, Kunuthur, Mallakalva, Nelakota, Pothulanage palle, Ravulacheruvu, Regati palle, Subbarao peta, and Thummala. A total area of Dharmavaram is 375 km square rural area and 40.45 km square urban area.   1. Dharmavaram is a Mandal in the Anantapur District of Andhra Pradesh. Dharmavaram has a population of 1,72,479 peoples. There are about 13 villages in Dharmavaram block. Before going to discuss the details about Dharmavaram villages we have to recognise the importance of Dharmavaram leader Mr.Kethireddy Venkatarami Reddy. He is the visionary leader in Dharmavaram who laid strong roads and provided drinking water to all the people in Dharmavaram villages. Kethireddy have conducted so many meetings in Dharmavaram village people and to overcome their ongoing problems. Dharmavaram villages have benefitted and developed high during Kethireddy ruling period. To days Dharmavaram villages have effective plans for the future problems in the field of Agriculture. Kethireddy is the reason for the educatation of farmers children in Dharmavaram villages. We wish MR. Kethireddy to do the same hardwork towards the welfare of Dharmavaram villages. 1. Buddareddipalle: This village is located in Dharmavaram mandal of Anantapur district in Andhra Pradesh, India. It is situated 22km away from Dharmavaram town and 62km away from district hquarter Anantapur. Buddareddipalle is one of the famous in Dharmavaram villages. 2. Chigicherla: The total geographical area of village is 3805 hectares. Chigicherla has a total population of 4,931 peoples. There are about 1,189 houses in one of the dharmavaram villages called as Chigicherla. Dharmavaram is nearest town to Chigicherla which is approximately 14km away. 3. Darsimala: The total geographical area of village is 3462 hectares. Darsimala has a total population of 3,591 peoples. There are about 896 houses in Darsimala village. Venkatathimmapuram and Malagundlapally are the sub villages of Darsinamala village. Malagundlapally is a very small village where the people have effective knowledge about Agriculture. 4. Elukuntla: The total geographical area of village is 1987 hectares. The village has a total population of 1,998 peoples. There are about 516 houses in Elukuntla village. Elukuntla is nearest to one of the dharmavaram village called as darsimala.

  2. 5. Gotlur: The total geographical area of village is 3382 hectares. Gotlur has a total population of 8,876 peoples. There are about 2,292 houses in Gotlur village. Gotlur has second highest population when compared to other dharmavaram villages. 6. Kunuthuru: The total geographical area of village is 4471 hectares. Kunuthuru has a total population of 11,044 peoples. There are about 2,773 houses in Kunuthuru village. Dharmavaram is nearest town to Kunuthuru which is approximately 5km away. Kunuthuru has largest population when compared to other Dharmavaram villages. 7. Mallakalva: The total geographical area of village is 3218 hectares. Mallakalva has a total population of 3,302 peoples.There are about 855 houses in Mallakalva village. Dharmavaram is nearest town to Mallakalva which is approximately 7km away. Mallakalva is one of the best village in Dharmavaram villages. 8. Nelakota: The total geographical area of village is 3467 hectares. Nelakota has a total population of 2,082 peoples. There are about 528 houses in Nelakota village. Dharmavaram is nearest town to Nelakota which is approximately 20km away. One of the Dharmavaram villages called nelakota is belongs to Rayalaseema region It is located 56 km towards South from District head quarters Anantapur. 16 KM from Dharmavaram. 408 km from State capital Hyderabad. 9. Pothulanagepally: The total geographical area of village is 2042 hectares. Pothulanagepalle has a total population of 3,397 peoples. There are about 812 houses in Pothulanagepalle village. Dharmavaram is nearest town to Pothulanagepalle which is approximately 13km away. 10. Ravulacheruvu: The total geographical area of village is 3008 hectares. Ravulacheruvu has a total population of 5,404 peoples. Regatipalle: The total geographical area of village is 2417 hectares. Regatipalle has a total population of 3,748 peoples. There are about 943 houses in Regatipalle village. Dharmavaram is nearest town to Subbaraopeta which is approximately 8km away. Subbaraopeta has Lowest population when compared to other Dharmavaram villages. 13. Thummala: As per the Population Census 2011, there are total 397 families residing in the village Thummala. The total population of Thummala is 1,468 out of which 724 are males and 744 are females thus the Average Sex Ratio of Thummala is 1,028. Thummala is last village in Dharmavaram villages. Dharmavaram MLA Kethireddy Kethireddy Was one of the MLA in Dharmavaram CONGRESS Party in 2009. Kethireddy was son of Surya Prathap Reddy. He is also one of the MLA in TDP In past. Kethireddy was conducted weavers "Mahadharna Rally" by Dharmavaram MLA Kethireddy, somany people and party members are came for justice. Kethireddy was stands along with them and speaks about what they need. Somany supporters are came in that rally to do justice for weavers. Dharmavaram MLA Kethireddy stoods along with Weavers. Dharmavaram MLA Kethireddy started speech and gives warning to Chandrababu Naidu. MLA Kethireddy say you didn't pass the bills in the span of three and half years. You didn,t suits for CM position said by Dharmavaram MLA Kethireddy and supported the weavers.
