  2. Tradizione: La vigilia di Natale, in piazza, veniva acceso un grande falò che durava più giorni. Tale tradizione persiste ancora oggi. Solo gli uomini si sedevano, durante la notte, intorno al fuoco e cantavano una ninnananna, accompagnandosi con la chitarra battente.

  3. Durante il periodo natalizio gli uomini andavano presso le famiglie amiche a cantare “a crustularo” sempre accompagnandosi con la chitarra battente. In questa occasione venivano loro offerti “crustuli, scalidde” e vino.

  5. Canto: E quannu tu si nnatu E’ un canto in dialetto calabrese, scritto molti anni fa dal compositore mirtense di canzoni liturgiche, il Prof. Giuseppe Carrisi. Questo canto, per l’intensità del suo messaggio e per la sua bellezza, è ormai entrato a far parte delle tradizioni natalizie del nostro paese.
