  1. Continuous Improvement & Partnerships in ACE Working together we can make a difference!

  2. In 2007 a group of ten ACFE providers in the HUME Region of Victoria came together on a regular basis to develop a better understanding of the AQTF 2007 – Reframing the Future Project. The aims of the group were to: • To unpack and review current practices against AQTF and look at what outcome’s driven means to them • Explore the notion of ‘continuous improvement’ what that means for ACE, how to implement into individual organisations and report on this

  3. AQTF 2007 • Collectively ACE providers in the HUME region unpacked each of the three Essential Standards and developed their understanding further on each through facilitated workshops, taking this knowledge back to their workplaces and implementing • Benchmarked each other’s processes, procedures and documentation against the standards, agreed to adopted consistency across ACE organisations in the region – continuous improvement / best practice • Participating providers have built a strong network and have decided to continue to meet on a regular basis as a Continuous Improvement Group (CIG)

  4. Professional Development What has been achieved to date: • CIG – has explored how to include sessional trainers in PD as ACE see this as important in relation to continuous improvement – two-fold • There is an understanding that trainers have to take some responsibility for their own PD, however as a regional group of providers we have looked at way we can offer training and validation collectively – i.e. employability skills • The group also benchmarked a lot of documentation against the AQTF and shared best practices resources – a real sense of sharing has been established

  5. Professional Development The Continuous Improvement Group in 2008 The focus on the group has been: • Employability skills and embedding them into training • Strengthening relationships already formed in 2007 • Skills Reform and what that means for ACE providers

  6. Professional Development Current Focus The CIG is focusing ‘Securing Jobs for the Future’ and what that means for ACE now and in the future. • The group has worked through a SWOT /TOWS Analysis determining ACE’s strengths and weaknesses • They are work shopped where they are now as providers and where they need to be in the future – changing their mindset from supply driven to demand driven • Discussed change and what that means to their individual organisations

  7. How as a CIG they can established partnerships working together collaboratively in readiness for 2011 The ACE providers involved believe this group will play a critical role in the lead up and implementation of ‘Securing jobs for the Future’ across the region. Are you ready for the challenge?
