A Couple of Definitions • Sacred Scripture – the written word of God compiled throughout the ages and passed on from every generation • Sacred Tradition – the teachings and practices passed down from the Apostles (the oral Word of God) • tradition – a practice passed on in families, countries, etc. for a period of time
