Welcome to Biology 1: Course Overview, Introductions, and Syllabus Review

In this session, taught by Mrs. Brubaker, students will introduce themselves and complete initial exercises, including sharing their names, class periods, favorite songs, and opinions about science. We will discuss life concepts like the relationship between technology and life. A review of the syllabus and completion of a contract for bonus points are also included. Students will engage in critical thinking around the essence of life, DNA's beauty, and personal perspectives on science classes.

  4. Syllabus & Contract • Take 5-10 minutes to review the syllabus. • On the back of your note card, write a True/False question testing someone’s knowledge of one part of the syllabus. • Complete contract by Friday = 3 bonus points; due by Tuesday 9/9 = 3 points.
