    2. SNT - Explained What is a Neighbourhood Policing Team? Every neighbourhood policing team is responsible for providing the public with named points of contact for each Neighbourhood Policing Area. These are geographical and the size of each differs across our four divisions. Within our wider neighbourhood policing teams, local beat teams work within specific beats. Each beat team can be made up of: Police Constables Police Community Support Officers Community Protection Officers Special Constables

    3. SNT - Explained In some divisions, there are also Community Protection Officers (CPOs) who are aligned to beats. Local authorities fund these officers. We have 216 local beat teams across the force who join up to form 38 neighbourhood policing teams. To make things really simple, a neighbourhood policing team is our way of describing a group of local beat teams. The easiest way of finding information for the relevant officers for any streets in the county is to enter the postcode on the main force website. This brings up a page, listing contact details and photos of that areas team.

    4. What is a PCSO? PCSO stands for Police Community Support Officer. PCSOs are an integral and vital part of Neighbourhood Policing in Nottinghamshire. They work in partnership with beat managers to tackle local issues and priorities, providing reassurance to the public through visible patrols on the streets.

    5. What can PCSOs do? Assist with anti-social or rowdy nuisance behaviour Carry out bail checks Deal with abandoned vehicles Seize vehicles causing nuisance or being used illegally Perform enquiries based on CCTV footage Deal with civil disputes Crime prevention preservation Carry out lost property enquiries Perform house-to-house assistance visits Carry out enquiries about missing persons Investigate and deal with parking complaints Provide help with search warrants Assist with suspicious incidents Revisit victims of crime to provide reassurance boost confidence in the police. Help with video identification of suspects Assist with witness appeals

    6. What is a Community Event? This is where your local Neighbourhood Policing Team attends a community event in a specific location. It gives you the opportunity to meet the team covering your area and discuss any issues or concerns you have. The team provide advice on issues ranging from personal safety to property marking in order to make sure that you do not become a victim of crime.

    7. What is a Beat Surgery? This is where a member of the Neighbourhood Policing Team will be present at a given location for you to discuss any local issues and problems that are causing you concern. It gives you the opportunity to come along and have your say on ho you want your Neighbourhood Policing Team to deal with them. It also gives us the opportunity to update you on things that we have been doing in the area and provide advice, if required, on a number of subjects.

    8. What is a Beat Walk? This is where your Neighbourhood Policing Team patrols your area along with partner agencies. They look at ways to improve the living environment and welcome you to stop and talk to them about issues that effect you and your neighbours. Together we can then find ways to improve living conditions.

    9. Your Community Events To find out where your local events are taking place, either look on the website pages, visit your local police station or ring your SNT to find out when the next event will take place.

    10. Rushcliffe South Hotspot Data Every month we publish our top ten streets for each local beat team in Rushcliffe South on the website pages. We provide information relating to categories including anti-social behaviour, criminal damage, burglary, robbery and auto crime.

    11. Rushcliffe South Crime Statistics Every month we publish crime statistics for each local beat team in Rushcliffe South, on the website pages. We provide information relating to anti-social behaviour, which is a priority for local beat areas, and compare the number of incidents to the number of incidents that required a crime number.
