  2. Overview • Purpose of MEC • Review Position Descriptions • Chapter Level • District Level • Region Level

Purpose • Primary - Retention of Members • Work with the Directors, to educate the Membership on the many benefits of GWRRA at Chapter, District and Region Levels • Wing World, Gold Book, Rescue Plus, etc. • Make sure all New and Prospective Members (Trial Memberships) are contacted on a monthly basis

  4. Chapter Level • Develop and maintain a Membership listing of participants • Be responsible for the sign in sheet at Chapter Gatherings • Make sure everyone signs • Greet and welcome visitors at all Chapter Events

  5. Chapter Level • Send welcome letter to new Members • Follow-up with a phone call • Write article for monthly newsletter • Work with Chapter Team to promote Chapter Activities and Events • Serve as Chapter of the Year Coordinator • Serve on the Chapter Couple of the Year Committee (if Chapter has one)

  6. Chapter Level • Work with Membership data from Area Report • New Member list (Monthly) • Prospective Members list (Monthly) • Full Area Report (Quarterly - January, April, July and October)

  7. Chapter Level • Contact all New and Prospective Members (Trial Memberships) listed on the Monthly Area Report • Complete contact data column on New and Prospective Members • Only these two tabs! • Return complete list to District Membership Enhancement Coordinator

Chapter Level • Review Expiring and Expired Memberships • Remind as necessary • We want to keep them as Members • Be prepared to listen if they aren’t happy • Contact info not required to be sent to District MEPC • Review Quarterly Full Area Report for Members who may not be participating in the Chapter

Chapter Level • Serve as liaison to the District Membership Enhancement Coordinator • Promote involvement of the Members • Encourage everyone to be involved and participate • Be a mentor to the new Members • Make welcome, explain benefits, terminology, etc. • Promote changes positively • Help keep politics out of the Chapter • Cliques / Buddy System

District Level • Develop and maintain a database of Chapter Membership Enhancement Coordinators • Work with District Membership Data • Review Unassigned Zip Code information • Zip Code assignment updates can be made by District Director or District MEPC • Identify areas for new Chapters • Distribute Monthly ARL to each Chapter Membership Enhancement Coordinator with a copy to the Chapter Director

  13. District Level • Appointing Officer for Chapter Membership Enhancement Coordinators • Be a mentor to new Chapter MECs • Conduct seminars • Promote involvement of the Members

  14. District Level • Serve as liaison to the Region Membership Enhancement Coordinator • Promote changes positively and help keep politics out of the Chapters

  15. District Level • Work with the District Team and Chapter Teams to promote all Membership activities in the District • Write articles for the District Newsletter. • Serve as the Couple of the Year Coordinator • Serve as the Chapter of the Year Coordinator

Region Level • Maintain a Region database of District Membership Enhancement Coordinators • Work with Membership Data • New, Prospective, Expired, Expiring Memberships and Unassigned Zip Codes • Distribute Monthly ARL to all District Membership Enhancement Coordinators with a copy to the District Director • Submit a report monthly to the MEP Director on the contacts of New and Prospective Members

  17. Region Level • Appointing Officer for District Membership Enhancement Coordinators • Be a mentor to new MECs • Serve as liaison to the Membership Enhancement Program Director • Promote changes positively to help keep politics out of GWRRA

  18. Region Level • Work with the Region Team to promote Region and District Activities and Events • Promote involvement of the Members • Write articles for the Region Newsletter • Serve as the Couple of the Year Coordinator • Serve as the Chapter of the Year Coordinator
