  15. Prepare for Kindergarten Round-Up Identify your neighborhood elementary school. Refer to the district’s website www.alameda.k12.ca.us. Click on the enrollment tab on the right hand side on the screen, click on “identify your neighborhood school” and enter your address. Your neighborhood school will appear. If you have questions, call 337-7072. Pick up a Kindergarten Enrollment Packet at Kindergarten Information Night or at your neighborhood school. Read your forms and your packet handouts carefully, particularly the “Frequently Asked Questions about Kindergarten Enrollment.” Sign up for a kindergarten tour at your neighborhood school

Between now and Kindergarten Round-Up… - Complete your online enrollment • Make your online appointment for the Kindergarten Round-Up period starting January 21 and ending February 3. • Check to make sure your student meets the immunizations requirements for pre- enrollment. • Use the folder provided to you to collect all the paperwork needed for kindergarten enrollment including: • Birth certificate • Immunization record • Proof of residency • (ie., rental agreement or tax bill and an Alameda Power bill) • Printout of your online enrollment paperwork • Attend a Kindergarten Roundtable Workshop

Kindergarten Enrollment Round-Up Will Take Place the Weeks of…Tuesday, January 21st through Monday, February 3rd, 2014 • Families should go online to www.alameda.k12.ca.us and follow the directions for online enrollment • Make an online appointment for enrollment during the round-up period • Enrollments should last no longer than 15 minutes if all the paperwork is complete • Bring all the paperwork to the District Office located at 2060 Challenger Drive at the time of your appointment • Appointments will be taken Monday – Friday between the hours of 7:30 am – 6:30 pm • At your appointment, complete an open Enrollment Application requesting Maya Lin School

  19. Transitional Kindergarten Program Transitional Kindergarten (TK) is a 2-year kindergarten program. TK is offered at Earhart, Haight, and Paden. If TK is not offered at your neighborhood school, all efforts will be made to place your child in a TK class close to your neighborhood school. For Kindergarten year, TK students will attend Kindergarten at their neighborhood school.

  20. Transitional Kindergarten Program Enroll following the Kindergarten Enrollment Process outlined tonight and included in your folder. If you have any questions or need assistance please call Student Services at 337-7072.
