  3. Basic Requirements Learning Contracts / Course Expectations Signed by students and parents. Basic Classroom Behavior Be on time, Be prepared, Be quiet, Be seated, Be respectful. Basic Supplies 1. One 3 inch ring binder with sectional dividers. • Loose leaf notebook paper, standard, lined. • Blue or black pens, #2 pencils, colored highlighters, etc… • 500 index cards, lined/ruled (start with 100). Special projects may require additional items.

  4. Grades & Homework • Daily * 50% - Classwork & Homework • Test * 50% - Test: Unit & Period * * Weighted, percentages of total scores. • AP Courses: Expect two hours of homework for each class period. • Regular Courses: Expect one hour of homework for each class period.

  6. Failure is NOT an Option ZERO INTOLERANT ! StudentsMUSTcomplete all assignments / tests / projects, etc… Incomplete work will result in loss of course credit and may delay/prevent timely graduation or the forwarding of transcripts. EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES (sports) MAY BE LIMITED BY FAILING GRADES THROUGHOUT THE YEAR!

Where there is a Will….there is an“A” If a student has completed all of the required work SATISFACTORILY with little to no absences…and has demonstrated respect, sincerity, and motivation to be and do the BEST… extra-credit work MAYbe allowed / assigned on a case-by-case basis to earn additional points, solely at my discretion.

  8. What are the goals of the Advanced Placement courses? Opportunities for gifted and/or highly motivated students Challenge students to develop critical thinking skills Provide preparation for college courses Opportunity to earn college credit
