About Us • New organization, founded in Spring 2012 • Have grown from 15 to 30 members • Design, build, tune, and race an open wheel, formula style car • Car is on a 2 year development cycle • Aim to be UCLA’s first entrant in the competition • Car will be rolling next week and finished by the end of this quarter

  3. Membership Development • More than just a racing team • Educate members in a number of key engineering and project management areas • 8 Leadership positions and 4 grad student advisors and a number of other officers • New member development program with ASME BattleBots and Baja SAE

  4. Budget and Resources • Shop space in the student creativity center, shared with Baja • Culture of collaboration building between SAE groups • Budget for the project • Industry relations with major companies • Where to go from here?
