Significant leadership changes occurred at the Madigan Army Medical Center (MAMC) and the Western Regional Medical Command (WRMC) during late September and early October 2009. MAMC, now led by COL Penner, and WRMC, commanded by MG Horoho, are functioning separately after the split. Other updates include the introduction of new lab managers and a focus on enhancing lab capabilities. Key initiatives include accreditation preparations, automation projects, and upcoming facility expansions, including new health clinics and barracks at JBLM-McChord.
