Adapting To Student Life in London • London is very cosmopolitan, you can find food from • most countries, shops with different ingredients. • Try to make friends with other international students, • they may understand what you are feeling. • Make friends with home students, • they can help you find out about living here.

  7. Adapting To Student Life in London • Join societies in the student union and meet others with • common interests, wherever they come from. • Don’t suffer in silence! • There are lots of people who are ready to help you • here at Imperial.

What will give you a sense of connection with home? Leaving home and coming to a different country can be stressful, this is normal. There is a great deal of loss-family, friends, familiar sights, people who you usually turn to for support and guidance.
