This guide provides step-by-step instructions for using Google Docs spreadsheets to report student scores in the Excellence System. Begin by accessing the score sheets through Davenport University's website, ensuring you use Google Chrome for optimal results. Navigate to your course’s CRN and enter student scores according to the rubric outcomes. Once all scores are entered, be sure to reset the score sheet for future users. Directions for Reporting Excellence System Assessment Scoring Using Google Docs Spreadsheets
Step One: Getting to the Score Sheets • To access the Excellence System Competency score sheets: • For best results, please use Google Chrome • as your browser: • 2. Go to: http://www.davenport.edu/academics/assessment/excellence-system • 3. Look for the link to the Excellence System Competency you will be assessing. These links will take you to a Google Drive spreadsheet.
Step Two: Getting to Your Course’s CRN • To get to your CRN: • Click drop-down • menu button B.Click “Clear” • Click your specific • CRN from list D. Click “OK” TIP: If you do not see your CRN, try resetting the list by clicking on “Select All”
. Note: Student names are pre-populated for your CRN
Step Three: Entering Student Scores • Enter a score (0-3) for each of the rubric outcomes for each student. The spreadsheet will automatically total the scores and save them. You DO NOT need to save the file.
Step Four: Resetting the Score Sheet • When all your scores are complete, return to the CRN drop-down menu and click “Select All” to reset the spreadsheet for the next user: Very Important Step! Otherwise, the next user may not be able to find his/her course.
Step Five: Completing the Scoring • Score other CRNs you are teaching by starting again at Step One. • If you are teaching courses which will assess other Excellence System Competencies, choose the link to the appropriate score sheet on the Excellence System website. • 3. Close out of the spread sheets by closing the tab of your browser to exit.
