    4. Target: To increase the rate of breastfeeding at 6-8 weeks in the Community Assembly areas with the lowest rates to a minimum 48.9% by 2020 Achievement of Baby Friendly Status Breastfeeding Peer Support in the community & at Jessop Wing Breastfeeding Friendly public places and workplaces

Strand 3: Maternal Healthy Weight Sheila Paul & Baljit Sanghera NHS Sheffield Targets: To reduce the overall rate of women with a BMI of 30 or more at booking by 2% (from 21.9% 2010/11 to 19.9% in 2019/20) To reduce the Slope Index of Inequality gap by 10% (from 16.6% 2010/11 to 14.9% by 2019/20)

A challenging area Genetic risk is complex (most cousin couples not at risk) Unmet need is concentrated among individuals and communities who commonly experience marginalisation and discrimination within the health service and wider society Past interventions elsewhere have been inappropriate and served to alienate rather than empower Need for multi-professional response and strong community involvement But we have: Learning/support from colleagues in Bradford, Walsall, Birmingham & input from national experts Enthusiasm of partners across the city to move forward
