Coastline: Moldova has access to the Black Sea via Giurgiulesti port located on the maritime section of the river Danube.    Climate: Moderate winters, warm summers. Land use:Arable land: 54,2%, permanent crops: 8,8% other: 37,0% (2006). Population: 3 563.7 (2010).

  12. Chisinau Airport is the busiest airport in Moldova and the principal gateway for international flights. In 2009, it serviced 808.096 passengers, which is 2.5 times more than in the year 2003. Import and export cargo services constitutes 1631 tons of cargo and 403 tons of mail. In August 2010Chisinau Airport saw growth of physical indicators.
