Women in LP Leadership • Under the Party Constitution, the National Executive Council (NECO) includes National Presidents of all established Allied Sectoral Groups which include Youth, Women, Urban Poor, and Labor (sec. 27.19)
LP’s Gender Equality Platform “GENDER EQUALITY : We will work to transform our situation from one of a lack of concern for gender disparities and shortfalls to one that promotes equal gender opportunity in all spheres of public policies and programs.”
Increased Women’s Participation Women found their voice in the Liberal Party, where they have long had a level playing field in policy and politics
Increased Women’s Participation The presence and participation of women in the Liberal Party has increased more than two-fold Elected Liberal Party Women rose from 212 in 2007, to 460 in 2010
