Sports Club Council • Our Client is Mr. Foster Ridpath • “The goal of the SCC is to represent recognized sport clubs at RU that continuously remain in good standing and represent RU in a positive light.”  • Clubs associated with the SCC include: • Equestrian • Ice Hockey • Men's and Women's Lacrosse • Men's & Women's Rugby • Men's and Women's Ultimate Frisbee • Men's & Women's Soccer • Men's and Women's Volleyball • Women's Softball • Men's Baseball • Men's Basketball • Men's Football

  3. The Old Site • Clubs are unable to directly post events and pictures • Not Aesthetically Pleasing • Pictures for Individual clubs are outdated and poorly organized. • No way to organize ALL club events in central location.

  4. Plans for the New SCC • Calendar • Central area for clubs to post information on events • News Area • Clubs can login and post short messages about sporting events. ( ex. Posting results ) • Place for club admin. to upload photos and information about recent events • Remodel the site • RU Color Palate • Design

Problems and Solutions Client • Problem • We had trouble solidifying a client • Solution • Contacted multiple clients Software • Problem • Joomlalearning curve • Possible issues implementing plug-ins • Solution • Spend time learning and teaching each other about the different aspects of Joomla.

In Summary • Where we are going: • We are finishing up the planning phase and we will be entering the Requirements phase. • At deliverable, we expect to have completed: • A newly installed content management system with RU color scheme for the SCC. • A calendar and news section for recent sports events. • The ability for each club to upload their own photos in an organized manner.
