Plateau - a large area of flat land that is raised higher than the land around it • Reef - jagged rock, coral, or sand just above or below the surface of the sea
River - a large, flowing body of water that usually empties into a sea or ocean • Tributary - stream or river that flows into a larger river • Sound - a large sea or ocean inlet
Valley -an area of low land between two mountains or hills Volcano - a mountainous vent in the Earth's crust. When it erupts, it spews out lava, ashes, and hot gases from deep inside the Earth.
Waterfall - where a river falls off steeply • Wetland - an area of land where the soil has a lot of water in it and/or sitting on top of it – a swamp is a type of this landform.
