  2. 1st period Astronomy • Starter: get out SW/APOD sheet and classroom expectations sheet • Today’s learning targets: 1-9 • SW/APOD • Finish classroom expectations: due …at some point when we finish them! • Continue Summer Constellations: Reading a star map • Begin unit 1 study guide • Hmwk: Crossword puzzle – due tomorrow

  3. Chemistry • Starter: turn in hmwk; get out calculator and writing utensil • Today’s learning targets: 6 and 8 • Textbook receipts • Learning check • New material: Determining Significant Digits • Continue lab safety rules • Due dates this week: • Friday: 1-4 review/reinforcement wkst • Tuesday: 1-5 notes

Conceptual physics • Starter: get out Scientist partner questions from yesterday; give back learning target sheets • Today’s learning targets: 1-3 • “Scientific claim” examples – per your learning target sheet requests!  • Go over scientist partner questions: pg. 8 (1-10, 12) • End of class: complete a column and a “Muddiest Point” • Tomorrow: Learning check over LTs 1-3

Advanced physics • Starter: in your notes, complete: • Pg. 222 (9 b&d, 10, b&d, ) • Today’s learning targets: 7 • Go over problems from yesterday • New: significant digits • Due Friday: read chapter 1 (it’s short!); complete notes over it OR some sort of visual incorporating different aspects of the unit – the goal is to help me see the connections that you made with the reading

  8. Ap chemistry • Starter: pick up a lab sheet at the demo table; turn in lab safety rules • Today’s learning targets: 3, 9 & 11 • Lab day 1: Growing Crystals in Gels • Continue wkst13
