Transition into school Once places are accepted in April • Parents meeting • Children come to school for activities in summer term • Teachers meet with you individually to discuss your child and their needs and interests • Teachers visit your child in their preschool setting • You become part of our school community and can join in events and activities • In September we phase entry so teachers and children get used to routines

Application Process Starting school in September 2014 • Children should start primary or junior school if born: • Between 1 September 2009 and 31 August 2010 for Reception Apply online • Apply online for a school place between 12 November 2013 to midnight on 15 January 2014 on Kent County Council Website. • Or you can download the paper form and post it to Kent County Council: (Office staff can help you fill in the form online) When you'll find out • On 16 April 2014 KCC willlet you know which school has a place for your child
