Integrating Tourism in Historic Centres: A Project for Sustainable Local Development

This integrated project focuses on enhancing tourism in historic centres through a new system of local development. Funded by the ESF, it aims to create a network promoting economic, cultural, and social growth in the regions of Carnia and Gemonese. Key activities include workshops, coordination, and the establishment of small enterprises in tourism. Additionally, the project seeks to develop methodologies for multi-fund interventions and innovative strategies for cultural heritage enhancement. Partners include various municipalities from Italy, Hungary, and the Czech Republic.

Comunità Montana Basso Sinni It has been involved in many EU’s financed projects during the programming period POP-ERDF 1994-1999 and ROP 2000-2006: • MountainShelter • Systemforwastetreatment • Realisation of the DevelopingPlan1 of the LEADER II and LEADER + Programme with the LAG Cosvel srl • Realisation of 200 bed-places within the “widespreadhotel”, by restoring ancient houses of historical centres of Basso Sinni area’s municipalities.

ToNe Description The aim is to present an integrated project focused on a new integrated system of local development. • Development of tourist services • Creation of a system centred on accomodations in residential areas in historic centres • Creation of a virtuous, integrated and structured system for those activities

ToNe Objectives • integrated system of local development focused on widespread hotel • creation of small enterprises in the sector • a new integrated approach • identification of virtuous strategies • elaboration of a draft useful as a reference normative • elaborationof a draft of IP proposes • integrated methodology for multi-fund interventions • creation of an innovative strategy to enhance the cultural heritage in historic centres
