  6. Becoming a DOCA Member • Nomination by • DOCA member in good standing • DOCA Executive Committee approval • Secretary of Defense Executive Orientation Program (formerly Joint Civilian Orientation Conference (JCOC)) • Selected by invitation • Secretary of Defense • Then by DOCA invitation

  7. DOCA’s Background • Founded 1952 • Supported by annual dues • Each field orientation is self-supporting • Paid pro-rata by participants • DOCA members pay own travel expenses
