  3. What Contributing Factors Led To Rob Dyrdek’s Success? Ever since Rob Dyrdek purchased his first skateboard when he was 11 years old, he has done many great things. He has made 3 different television shows (Rob & Big, Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory & Ridiculousness.)

  4. What Influenced And/Or Motivated Rob Dyrdek’s Life? Rob Dyrdek has strong emotional connections to his past, his family, his childhood, places he associates with safety and security, and his beginnings. Loyal, devoted, and sentimental, Dyrdek tends to cling to whatever is dear to him- beit a person, a familiar place, or a cherished possession. He is more concerned about people and their feelings than with power, achievement, or position in society. Rob Dyrdek looked up to the skaters of the G & S skateboarding team, and even became the youngest member at 12!

  5. What Was Rob Dyrdek’s Childhood Like? In his early life as a child, Rob Dyrdek was involved in sports. He gained an interest in skateboarding when he was 11 years old after he was given his first skateboard by Niel Blender who was then a professional skateboarder. He had the opportunity to develop an interest in skateboarding when he was very young, which is why he was able to focus on skateboarding, perfect the sport, and become a pro skateboarder. Rob has been on the record stating that, as a child, all he would think of while in school was skateboarding tricks he would do after school during his free time.

  6. How did Rob Dyrdek impact society? When Rob Dyrdek was 12, he began skateboarding, and in the same year, he became part of the very popular G&S Skateboarding team, being the youngest to ever join. When he went pro, he began building skate parks for pros and beginners. He also became a reality show star on “Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory”, “Rob & Big” and “Ridiculousness”. As a 21 year-old, he began endorsing DC Shoes. He sponsors DC Shoes, Alien Workshop, Reflex Bearings, Spy Optical and Red Bull Energy Drinks. Rob Dyrdek started the “SK8 4 Life” charity for unprivileged kids in Los Angeles and raised a total of $550,000. When SK8 4 Life was started, it was the first time he had ever opened the Fantasy Factory to the people. His pro skateboarding team, “Street League Skateboarding” held its first pro demo during the SK8 4 Life event.

  7. How Is Rob Dyrdek’sSkateboarding Career? At the tender age of 12, Rob Dyrdek managed to secure sponsorship from a company that sponsored famous pro skateboarders like Niel Blender. This is when Rob officially rose to fame and begun his pro career in skateboarding. A few years after launching his career, he decided to quit together with Blender to start; Alien Workshop, which is currently among the top skateboarding deck sponsors in the U.S. At age 16, Rob Dyrdek quit high school senior year to move to Southern California and continue building his skateboarding career. After moving to Southern California, Rob Dyrdek started riding for a company known as Droors Clothing which later transformed into DC Shoes. Both companies (DC Shoes & Droors) were formed by a renowned skateboarder; Danny Way.

  8. What Is Alien Workshop? Alien Workshop is a wicked skate brand that has some cool pictures as decks. They were only a minor brand, but still need to be recognized. The company was founded in 1990 by Chris Carter and Mike Hill and owned by Rob Dyrdek. Skateboarder Magazine announced on January 10, 2012 that Rob Dyrdek had bought Alien Workshop from Burton Snowboards.

  9. What Does The Fantasy Factory Crew Do? A crew of people come up with new things to do every week. One day, they may work on a business franchise. Another day, they might go make someone ride a bull, or shoot burritos at people. This is just a few of the many random things they do on a regular basis. The Fantasy Factory is a place of business and fun. They will do the quirkiest things they can think possible, just to entertain themselves and others. Originally called “Dyrdek Enterprises,” the said name is placed in big letters on the side of the massive building they use to make their show.

  10. “If You Have A Dream, You Have To Go Do It To See If You Suck.” There have been many times that Rob Dyrdek has dreamt, and tested himself to see if he could succeed in that dream. (This quote tells about Rob Dyrdek’s character)

  11. “In Life, Some People Trip And Fall, But Some People Take That Fall And Make A Beautiful Dance Out Of It.” Many people have failed to create and do things, but some people take things made and done, and make them better. (This quote tells about Rob Dyrdek’s character)

  12. “Make Your Own Luck.” You can’t just do something and hope you get lucky, you have to do something and trust in yourself to get it right. (This quote tells about Rob Dyrdek’s character)

  13. This giant skateboard is one of the many things Rob Dyrdek has made on Fantasy Factory.

  14. This is a show by Rob Dyrdek when he and two of his friends watch compilations of hilarious videos of people doing stupid things.

  15. This is a show where Rob Dyrdek and many of his friends do the quirkiest things possible for the entertainment of themselves and others.

  16. Rob & Big is an American Reality TV series that follows the lives of professional skateboarder/actor/producer Rob Dyrdek, and his best friend and bodyguard, Christopher “Big Black” Boykin.

  17. Reflection I learned a lot about the person I researched that I never would have known. The research, however, was over-excessive and cumbersome. If I were to do this project again, I would research someone else, because you don’t learn anything from researching someone you’ve already researched. I wouldn’t give any future GT students any advice, because they can learn better by figuring things out by themselves. If I were to give Mrs. Clark any advice on PSP, I would tell her not to make us do so much research, because the task of doing so much research is extremely tedious.
