  4. Passover BeginsMatthew 26:20; Mark 14:17; Luke 22:14 The exact chronology is uncertain, but the events that took place are certain Luke 22:15-16, Jesus sees the present with a view to the future and so desires this last Passover

  5. The Pride of the DisciplesLuke 22:24–30 The disciples had argued in Galilee about who was the greatest (Matt. 18) and the week prior (Matt. 20) Jesus had rebuked them but they were blatantly selfish and had not yet learned the lesson
