Coastal Development and Climate Adaptation Workshop at Ann Kolb Nature Center

The RCAP Implementation Workshop held on August 28, 2014, at Ann Kolb Nature Center in Hollywood, Florida, gathered representatives from 23 of the 38 municipalities bordering the Intracoastal Waterway and Atlantic Ocean.   2. PBC MUNICIPALITIES • 23 out of 38 cities front Intracoastal Waterway and/or the Atl. Ocean • 9 are in barrier islands • 3 other front Lake Okeechobee • Unincorporated PBC has minimal coastal lands

  3. AAA IMPLEMENTATION • PBC: No jurisdiction over municipalities (except for Traffic) • AAA to be implemented primarily by cities • Process will require inter- governmental / agency coordination (IPARC – League of Cities)
