Introduction • Goal of the project • Publishing more intelligent ITS system • Fix the difficulty algorithm and improve bucket distribution • Improved user interface presentation • Motivation • User interface had to many buttons and was difficult to understand. • Current difficulty algorithm had disproportionate distribution
Pushing New Interface • 5 dummy interfaces • Switching between interfaces
Circular Button Set • An all-in-one buttons set • Intuitive button design • Integrate submit and skip function in a unity control console
Original Design • Double ring structure • Submit button inside and skip buttons outside
Compromise with the engineer limitation • Had difficulty adding background pictures in the cssfile for the skip buttons in the outer ring • Replaced them withtriangle buttons
Fixing the difficulty algorithms • User score, User rating, Duration, Skip • Difficulty, difficulty2, dropN, dropSTD
Switching Interfaces Live • (screen shots)
Final Results • Updated difficulty bar and button interface • Updated difficulty algorithm with 5 buckets • (screen shot of final interface: ehtan)
Whats Next? • Publish on ITS! • Algorithm accounts for new questions that don’t have mined data information • Making harder questions worth more
