  2. What ISit?? • An interactive Spanish notebook (ISN) is your own personalized JOURNAL of learning about Spanish • A portfolio of your work in ONE convenient spot. This is great for studying for upcoming quizzes & test • A great ORGANIZATIONAL tool that gives you permission to be CREATIVE in your responses without "messing up" your notes.

  6. Caliente Su Mente: • Your Caliente Su Mente will be on a weekly handout. • It acts as a review before we start class. • It should be completed within the first FIVE minutes of class! Ideally • Include la fecha (the date)in a complete sentence and highlight each individual date.

  12. Notebook Rules • No RIPPED OUT pages or torn corners • No DOODLING that doesn’t relate to Spanish • Notebook should be used for SPANISH CLASS ONLY • - BE COLORFUL & LOVE YOUR NOTEBOOK

  13. Notebook Grading • Notebooks will be graded several times each quarter. A journal check is approximately 20 points. • Use specific class time to tape in each page and correct your warm-up. • Study your journal each day and go over what we covered in class. This way you will be SO prepared for exams.

  14. Notebook Grading • It is your responsibility to get all the information you missed if you are absent. Check the website. I will always post the Caliente Su Mente for each week. Do the Caliente Su Mente, and then have me check it for you—BEFORE the weekly quiz. • All pages for the cuaderno will be posted on the website under Cuaderno.

  15. Notebook Grading • An important of part of your notebook is its visual appearance. The notebook serves as a demonstration of your learning throughout the marking period. Your notebook should be neat, every entry should have a highlighted date-- every entry must have a highlighted date and page number. Your artistic touch should be visible throughout the notebook.

  21. Final Note • Your notebook is a tool for you to use in Spanish class. Open book quizzes are given each week. • Take pride in your work by keeping your notebook organized and neat!
