Overview • MIPv6 working group worked on a bootstrapping solution for Mobile IPv6. • The problem statement can be found at: • draft-ietf-mip6-bootstrap-ps-04.txt • Two solutions have been developed: • Integrated Scenario and • Split Scenario • Requirements and goals document is available: • draft-ietf-mip6-aaa-ha-goals-01.txt

Relay-Forward, OPTION_MIP6-RELAY) (4. Relay-Reply, OPTION_HNInf) (5. Reply, OPTION_HNInf) • Subsequent IKEv2 is executed between the MN and the HA.

  6. Solution Drafts • Diameter solution for integrated scenario is provided by: • draft-tschofenig-dime-mip6-integrated-00.txt • Diameter solution for split scenario is provided by: • draft-tschofenig-dime-mip6-split-01.txt • Solutions provide the backend protocols for the frontend solution developed in MIP6 WG. • Integrated solution simpler than split scenario.

  7. Open Issues • Split scenario does not cause problems. Room for improvement on the editorial side. • Integrated scenario solution uses Diameter application. Questions: • Application vs. attributes • Interworking with NASREQ and EAP • MIPv4 interaction (dual stacked hosts)
