Nuclear Chemistry Field Trip Assignment

During our recent field trip focused on nuclear chemistry and energy, students were assigned diverse topics related to nuclear science. Each participant engaged in thorough study during the trip, supplemented by additional research. The assignment culminated in the creation of a detailed one-page paper, which required a minimum of three sources, including two from the internet and one derived from the field trip materials. Students also researched relevant careers in nuclear chemistry and designed a poster showcasing various nuclear science career paths.

  2. what did they have to do? • randomly assigned a topic in nuclear chemistry/energy • study topic during the field trip and do some additional research • when we return write a minimum of a one-page paper about your topic • Must include various information I give them • must have a minimum of three sources • Two of them can be from the internet • one must be from the field trip (presentation, pamphlet, or energy center display) • need to research a career that pertains to your topic • design a poster prototype for a company that promotes different nuclear science careers
