  2. GYNECOMASTIA GRADES Gynecomastia grading is a medical tool used by plastic surgeons to assess the severity of gynecomastia. The severity of gynecomastia refers to the extent or degree of breast enlargement in males. Gynecomastia is categorised in to 4 Grades

  3. GYNECOMASTIA GRADE 1 The breast enlargement is mild The contour of the chest is relatively normal The excess tissue is localized to a small, disc-shaped area just below the areola.

  4. GYNECOMASTIA GRADE 2 Moderate breast enlargement with slightly more glandular tissue The chest contour may appear less masculine due to increased fullness in the breast area.

  5. GYNECOMASTIA GRADE 3 More pronounced breast enlargement, with excess glandular tissue extending beyond the areola. The chest may have a feminine appearance with noticeable sagging and increased breast prominence.

  6. GYNECOMASTIA GRADE 4 Severe breast enlargement, excess glandular tissue, and sagging of the breasts. The chest contour can resemble female breast.

  7. GYNECOMASTIA GRADES  The grading helps the surgeon assess the severity of gynecomastia and determine the most appropriate treatment approach, whether it involves liposuction, gland excision, skin tightening, or a combination of techniques. More severe cases may require additional procedures and may involve a longer recovery period.
