  3. Packing the Supplies • Child’s favorite wholesome foods • Fruit and pretzels • Water • Sunscreen • SPF 45 or higher is best • Insect repellent

  4. Wearing the Right Clothes • Dress in layers • Kids get cold more quickly than adults do • Wear long pants and a long sleeve shirt • Protect against ticks and cuts • Wear a hat • Keeps body warmer in winter
