  2. Language In India, it’s hard to talk to each other because there are so many different languages. There are over 75 different languages! Hindi is the main language, and about 30 percent of the people speak Hindi. Hindi and English are taught in school so everyone can communicate with each other.

  3. Holidays And Celebrations India has a lot of holidays. On Holi, we squirt colored water at each other. Holi is celebrated because it’s the beginning of spring. On Diwali, we burst firecrackers. Navratri is a nine day holiday celebrating women and girls. Once a year we celebrate children’s day.

  4. Schools And Education In India, kids start school at the age of six. Boys and girls usually don’t share the same classroom. Kids are in school from eight o’clock in the morning to noon. Most classes are in Hindi or English. Kids end school at the age of 14.

  5. Food Most Indians eat only vegetables and seafood. They also eat bread. Indian bread is round and flat.

  6. Interesting Facts • India has one of the largest population in the world. • The TajMahal is a place many tourists visit. • Women wear saris.
