  2. Why we need to update the C.S0095-A • The C.S0087-A v3.0 has been published in 2013 Dec. Some new feature has been included in the new release. The C.S0095 need to ally with the C.S0087-A v3.0.

  3. The new features in C.S0087-A v3.0 • Load balance between eHRPD and E-UTRAN. • Adding the load balance is the main changes in C.S0087-A v3.0. It included the following sub-features. • Load balance base on threshold. • Load balance base on Bitmap. • Reselection probability process. • Per Class reselection probability.

  4. Load balance base on threshold • If the network choose to use the threshold. eAN will broadcast the threshold value(ReselectionClassThreshold ). The AT will compare the local value(ReselectionClass) with ReselectionClassThreshold. If local value greater or equal to the broadcast value. The AT is allowed to reselect to EUTRAN network.

  5. Load balance base on ClassBitmap • eAN broadcast the ReselectionClassBitmap parameter in OtherRATNeighborList message to indicator the AT stay or leave HRPD network. • If the reselection class of AT is not be chosen by network, the AT should not to measure the EUTRAN network.

  6. Reselection probability process • This feature can be used only Reselection Bitmap is enabled. • The AT can use this feature only its class is selected • Each AT should generate a random number x between 0-1. when the x greater then the (PerClassReselectionProbability/100),the AT can measure and reselect to EUTRAN network.
