Life Expectancy was 47 years • Only 35% of ALL homes had electricity • Less than 10% of rural areas and farms had electricity even in 1927 • Average wage $200 – 400 per year! • Population of Nevada was 30 • Two of every 10 adults could read or write • Majority of Americans believed in God and followed the scriptures • Marijuana, heroin, morphine were over the counter US Statistics
