  2. Put Away Falsehood • Revelation 21:8 • John 8:32 • 1 Timothy 4:1-2 Honesty is always the best policy. Liars cannot make it to heaven.

  3. The Problems We Face Some situations complicate honesty. “Is it wrong to tell someone only half of the truth?”

  4. Considering the Bible Genesis 12:13-20 and Genesis 20:1-14 • Abraham and Sarah lied. • They caused harm to others (and even greater threat of harm) by being deceitful. • The part of truth they told was technically true (Genesis 20:12).

  5. Considering the Bible 1 Samuel 16:1-5 • Samuel was told to tell only part of the truth. • This was NOT a lie. God would not require Samuel (or anyone else) to lie.
