This project compares traditional reading strategies with technology-integrated methods in Mrs. Flunker's 2nd-grade class at Hillcrest Elementary School. Over 15 minutes, students engage in reading both physical books and Dr. Seuss books on iPods. Students are divided into groups, rotating every 7 minutes to discuss their preferred reading approach. This innovative method aims to enhance engagement and comprehension, demonstrating the potential benefits of incorporating technology into the language arts curriculum. The initiative celebrates Dr. Seuss's birthday while promoting literacy.
