Agent and Business Managers • DESCRIPTION • Represent and promote artists, performers, and athletes to prospective employers. • TASK • Manage business and financial affairs for clients • Negotiate with other agents, managers, and companies • Education • Most careers involving managing requires a four year bachelor degree.

  5. Working conditions • Hours: 40 hours per week; full time. • Transportation: needed car depending on what type of agent or managing your doing. • Can be outdoors at points; most of the time probably indoors; office

Interest, skills and knowledge • Skills • Need to be able to persuade and negotiate with associations, companies, and other managers you may come into contact with. • Interest • Being a agent you need to be interested in enterprising, being social, and conventional. • Knowledge • You need to be familiar to accounting, mathematics, English and economics. Which you can learn with the four year bachelor degree.

  8. Summary • My three top careers are pharmacist, home health aides, and agent and business manager. My top and favorite is agent and business managers. I’ve always wanted to manage a singer, bands, dance groups, etc.. When I got the chance to get agent and business manager I quickly grabbed it. I want to be involved with music and art in my career. Having a career that you enjoy is always important, in this case mine is being a manager. Managers and agents represent and promote artists, performers, and athletes to prospective employers. That’s what I want to do in my life. The other two jobs I didn’t like because I don’t like health care or anything that has to do with the medical field.
