Mauritius Police Force • THE DRIVER- • No matter how good, how expensive, or how efficient your vehicle is, it is you THE DRIVER who determine whether it’s a safe means of transport • Your Safety- your safety lies mainly in your own hands. The better your control of your vehicle and road space the safer you will be.

  3. QUALITIES OF A GOOD DRIVER • Attitude, anticipation, allowances • Behaviour • Confidence, concentration, courtesy

  4. Defensive driving- involves: • Awareness • Planning • Anticipating • Reponsibilities • Care • REDUCING HOSTILITY • Open hostility • Abusive language • Threats • Physical violence

  5. conclusion • Everyone of us is capable of making mistake on the road. However not every driver is prepared to make allowances for those mistake when they are committed by others.
