  6. And now, behold, I am going to Jerusalem, constrained by the Spirit, not knowing what will happen to me there, except that the Holy Spirit testifies to me in every city that imprisonment and afflictions await me. Acts 20:22-23

  7. And since he would not be persuaded, we ceased and said, “Let the will of the Lord be done.” Acts 21:14

  8. The following night the Lord stood by him and said, “Take courage, for as you have testified to the facts about me in Jerusalem, so you must testify also in Rome.” Acts 23:11

  9. And looking intently at the council, Paul said, “Brothers, I have lived my life before God in all good conscience up to this day.” Acts 23:1

  10. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. Isaiah 55:8

  11. And in the last days it shall be, God declares, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams Acts 2:17

  12. The Lord showed to these brethren, of whom Luke maketh mention, what should come to pass; yet, nevertheless, they know not what is expedient, and what Paul’s calling doth require, because the measure of their gift doth not reach so far. --Calvin

  13. “Let the will of the Lord be done.” Acts 21:14

  14. Committed Love • Deep Affection • Matchless Courage The Will of the Lord

  15. For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain. Philippians 1:21

  16. Christ leads us through no darker rooms than He went through before. --Richard Baxter

  17. Now after these events Paul resolved in the Spirit to pass through Macedonia and Achaia and go to Jerusalem, saying, “After I have been there, I must also see Rome.” Acts 19:21

  18. The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him. Romans 8:16-17

  19. For we do not want you to be ignorant, brothers, of the affliction we experienced in Asia. For we were so utterly burdened beyond our strength that we despaired of life itself. 9 Indeed, we felt that we had received the sentence of death. But that was to make us rely not on ourselves but on God who raises the dead. 2 Corinthians 1:8-9

  20. But let none of you suffer as a murderer or a thief or an evildoer or as a meddler. 16 Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in that name. 1 Peter 4:15-16

  21. For I am ready not only to be imprisoned but even to die in Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus. Acts 21:13b

  22. But now thus says the Lord…“Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. 2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you. 3 For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.” Isaiah 43:1-3

  23. Because of Who He is • Because of what He has done • Because of what He is doing Jesus is Worthy of All That We Can Do or Suffer for Him
