Summer Recreation Programs • Summer Rec Camp Dir: Pat MacFarland • Summer Rec Camp Nurse: Kate Sadow, RN • Arts/Crafts – Kristi Sadow (elementary ed) • Outdoor Games – Jenna Weaver (certified) • Specials – Various Presenters • Counselors – Lindsay MacFarland, Zach Orecchio, Sarah Miller, Jessica Lehr, Emma Gibson, Kendra Snyder & Laura Berger • AND Volunteer Helpers from PALMS

Summer Recreation Programs • Purple & Gold Summer Day Camp Supr: Josh Kline (Sports & Rec Weeks); Carolyn Williams/Erin Frack (Theatre Camp) • Counselors – Sarah Clark & Ned Comeaux; both college students business & education • Off Campus Activities – laser tag, pool, Dutch Springs Aqua Park, roller skating, Happy Times Fun center, and DSU Theatre • Bus services provided to and from activity

Summer Recreation Programs • These recreation programs begin the week after July 4th holiday week • Summer Rec runs from 9AM - noon on Mon. through Thurs. for 4 weeks at DN • Purple & Gold Summer Day Camp runs from 8AM until 4PM on Tues., Wed. and Thurs. also for 4 weeks – meet at PHS or PALMS • Registration for these programs will begin by the end of May – P&G NEW for the 2010-11 year! • Parents register their children for 1, 2, 3 or for all 4 weeks of the Program(s)

  5. Summer Recreation Programs • Planning for these Programs begin around January 1st • Presenters/facilitators and activities are secured to insure a “valuable” program • Ratio approx. 6:1 • We have successfullyincreased thequality and havekept costs reasonable

  6. Summer Recreation Programs • Summer Rec cost for this year $65/week or $225 for all 4 • Purple & Gold Summer Day Camp cost is $100/week • Multiple child discount – 15%

Summer Recreation Programs • Since 2001, we have increased our enrollment by exponentially • Having completed our 10thyear of Summer Rec and 1st year of P&G, we are attracting about 80 campers each week! • TOTAL OF 320 CAMP WEEKS! • These programs, coupled with sports camps, keep students active for the entire summer!

Community Evening School Programs • More than 50 courses offered for all of our community members – Fall and Spring • Courses in the areas of exercise and wellness, technology, crafts, continuing ed & excursions • Declining enrollment since market dropped • Servicing our community through FREE courses and workshops; evaluating all programs offered • Opportunity to incorporate our goals and provide community outreach
