The History • The education system in Afghanistan used to be a thriving and well respected system. • But when the country started to have wars with others, more than 70% of the schools there were destroyed! • Now they are in need of teachers, textbooks, and other school necessities. • ( Schleicher, Annie. The Present • Although they don’t have much material to use for educational purposes, Afghanistan is getting help from global organizations like the USAID. • The purpose of these groups is that they want to help children who couldn’t receive education for one reason or another. • They are putting their efforts in building new schools and providing school supplies for them so even poor children can go to school. • ( Schleicher, Annie. The Finish • Males usually go to primary school for 11 years • Girls only go for about 7 years. • The average years for the population as a whole is about 9 years or primary school education • ( "Central Intelligence Agency."   7. The Finish • Most kids who finish primary school go to the military to serve their country in wars.
