  2. Exposition • Poor widow and her son named Jack and a cow named Milky White

  3. Complication • The cow gave no milk. • Decided they had to sell the cow.

  4. Rising Action • He goes to the market to give the cow away for five beans. • Beans are supposed to grow to the sky in one night.

  5. Climax • In the morning he climbs up the beanstalk. • He meets an orgors wife who gives him breakfast. • Then the giant comes and tries to eat him. • The ogor takes a nap. • He stole the ogors bags of gold when he was sleeping. • Him and his mom live off the gold until it runs out.

  6. Falling Action • When he runs up the beanstalk he gets more gold. • The orgors wife tells him to go away. • He stole the golden hen.

  7. Denouncement • The golden hen laid eggs whenever it was told to.
